If not for Living Room Conversations, the Red Blue Dictionary would not have happened.

Joan Blades and Amanda Roman (from Living Room Conversations) were involved with Jacob Hess in a “Red Blue Dialogue brainstorming session” at Seattle’s National Coalition Dialogue and Deliberation conference where the idea first came up.

And in early 2016, Living Room Conversations approved the idea as something it wanted to invest in as an organization – paying Jacob for the intensive early writing to get the website and concept off the ground. Since April of 2016, everyone contributing to the dictionary has been volunteer.

It has been a privilege and incredible education to be working and partnering with Living Room Conversations. Jacob, the chief editor at Red Blue Dictionary, describes the experience of working with Joan, Debilyn, Ralph, Monica, Mary and Katie as life-changing.
